VI. THE LAW

PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: July 10, 2026

1. Who we are

Castrum Games ("we", "us") is a one-person mobile game studio operating at castrumgames.com. This policy explains what data our games and website handle, and what we deliberately do not collect. Questions and requests: hello@castrumgames.com.

2. The short version

Our games have no accounts and no sign-up. We never ask for — and never collect — your name, e-mail address, phone number or any other personal information. The only data our games produce is anonymous gameplay telemetry that cannot be matched to you as a person.

3. What we collect (anonymous telemetry)

To understand how our games are played, we collect:

  • a randomly generated player identifier created on your device — it contains no personal information and cannot be matched to your real identity,
  • a session identifier,
  • in-game events (e.g. level started, level completed, an ad was shown),
  • the app version,
  • a country code (see section 4 on how this is derived).

4. What we do NOT collect

  • No personal information: no name, e-mail, phone number or address (there are no accounts).
  • No stored IP addresses: your country is derived at the network layer while the request is processed, and only the two-letter country code is kept. The IP address itself is never stored.
  • No device identifiers: our telemetry does not collect the IMEI, the advertising ID or any comparable hardware identifier.

5. How long we keep it

Telemetry data is retained for a maximum of 13 months and then deleted.

6. How we use it

Telemetry is used for one purpose only: improving our games — balancing difficulty, finding bugs and understanding which features are used. We do not sell it, rent it or share it with third parties.

7. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Our games show ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob is operated by Google and may process data under its own policies to serve and measure ads. Please review Google's Privacy Policy and manage your preferences in Google Ads Settings. In regions where this is required (e.g. the EEA/UK under the GDPR), you will be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, and you may decline it.

8. Remote config and A/B tests

We occasionally test game variants (for example, two versions of a level). Variant assignment is computed deterministically from the anonymous player identifier described in section 3. No additional data is collected for this.

9. Children

Our games are directed at a general audience. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Where a game is designated as child-directed, we comply with the Google Play Families policies applicable to it.

10. Your rights (GDPR / KVKK)

You may request the deletion of your telemetry data at any time: send the player identifier shown inside the game to hello@castrumgames.com and we will delete the associated data within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights of access, rectification and objection under the GDPR, the Turkish KVKK or similar laws — the same address handles all such requests.

11. Changes to this policy

If our data practices change, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of our games after an update means the revised policy applies.
